Randolph Howard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services - Ladson on Jan. 5, 2026.
Randolph T. Howard (Randy) was born March 20, 1952 to the late John P. and Louise Howard. He entered into eternal rest on December 31st, 2025 at the age of 73. Born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina, Randy was deeply rooted in his community and faith. He attended St. Stephen's Reformed Episcopal Church, where his spiritual foundation was nurtured from an early age. He was a proud graduate of Alston High School, Class of 1970. Randy dedicated many years of his professional life to Exxon, aviation, as well as trucking, earning the respect of colleagues through his strong work ethic and reliability. A true lover of life, Randy found joy in football at every level-high school, college, and the NFL. He also had a deep love for music, especially the sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire, Frankie Beverly and Maze, and James Brown, just to name a few. Above all, he cherished family, valuing time spent with loved ones and the memories created together. Randy is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Brenda Howard; his children Randolph Jr.(Monique), Wesley (Wilisha), Imond, Ron (Sonia), Sharee (Brian), George, and Jourdon (Alexis); and his beloved grandchildren Aubreona, Brandon, Amarion, Jocelyn, Jayden, Amaya, Braxton, Lucas, and Chanel. He is also survived by his loving siblings Janice, Milton (Dorothy), Barbara, John, Jack (Patricia), Gail, and Linda (WC), along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Henry, Mary Jane, Alvin, Clifford, Donald, and Weldon. Randy's legacy is one of dedication, love, and presence. His memory will live on through the lives he touched, the family he built, and the joy he shared through music, sports, and fellowship. A memorial in his honor will be held on Wednesday January 7th, 2026 at Simplicity.281 Treeland Dr. Ladson, SC at 2 o clock pm
