Randolph "Randy" McArthur, 78, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away on June 20, 2025 at home. A visitation will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs with a graveside service to follow beginning at 11:00AM at North New Garden Cemetery, Wood Heights, Missouri. Mr. McArthur was born on December 6, 1946 in Northeast Kansas City.
Randy grew up in Kansas City with his parents, but loved spending time on the farm with his grandparents. He proudly served as a truck driver in the Vietnam War and told many stories of his travels. Randy married the love of his life, Laura, and they had a daughter, Lacy. Randy spent his entire career working for BNSF Railroad. He took pride in his truck, mowing his yard and keeping the flag flying.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Laura (Barnes), his parents William and Jeane (Strickland) McArthur and grandparents; Arthur and Melvina McArthur and Claude and Edna Strickland.
Survivors include his best friends Jerry Ealy, Olin Tannery, and Kimberly Boeschen and family.
Without you all Randy wouldn't have made it home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Orrick Christian Church Veteran's Fund.

So sorry to Lacy my cousin, and my chats with Randy my cousin were precious with all his veteran stories. We so wanted to meet in person, but sadly it never happened. Also sorry to his brother too.
