Randy Neil Ashmore passed away on October 3, 2024 surrounded by his family. Randy was born on November 11, 1971 to Glen and Janet (Wilson) Ashmore in Holyoke, CO. Randy spent his formative years on the family farm in Lamar, NE and attended school in Lamar until the 8th grade.
Randy went on to attend school in Imperial graduating from Chase County High School in 1991. After graduating, Randy attended Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE until returning to Imperial to be closer to family.
An avid sports fan, Randy was keen on stats and current on all the latest sports happenings. Although football was a favorite, Randy took to watching all sports and followed his favorite teams with passion. He was an extreme Huskers fan, he liked the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos. He liked almost every team, except the Colorado Buffalos.
Stubborn to a core, but kindhearted and gentle, Randy will be missed by those who knew him. He was strong willed and never complained. He was a proud member of FFA, and the Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial.
Randy is survived by his parents, his brothers, Thomas and Adrian Ashmore; nieces, MaKenna and Braelyn Ashmore; his uncles, Ray (Celeste) Wilson, Rodney (Rosie) Ashmore and Lyle Ashmore; his aunt, Vickie Wettstein. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and uncle, Ken Wettstein.
A Memorial Service to Honor Randy’s life will be held on Friday, October 25 2024 at 10:30 A.M. (MT) at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial.
