Randy Hoyt Baker- Date of Birth February 14, 1960
Randy Hoyt Baker age 65 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 2, 2026.
Preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Mary Baker; granddaughter, Emily King; mother-in-law, Ruth Gibson; and brother-in-law, Danny Smith.
Randy is survived by his wife of 16 years, Hanna Gibson Baker; daughter, Christy King; granddaughter, Madison King; sister, Vickie Baker Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Pam Baker; sister-in-law, Kay Gibson; and brother and sister in law David and Tara Gibson, and niece and nephews, Noah Gibson, Craig Smith, Hannah Pruitt, and Micah Baker.
Randy's Joy in life was driving the school bus for Pickens County for 10+ years. Every morning as he would leave he would say, "gotta go take care of my babies". He loved each child and their families like his own. We truly know Randy took pride in this role and responsibility to make sure each child arrived safely to school and back home.
He was a cherished member of Four Mile Baptist Church where he served as Treasurer and Song Leader. He will be dearly missed for the love and compassion he has shown Four Mile and all the individuals who had an opportunity to become his friend.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Baker, Reverend Curtis Roland, and Jerry Cantrell officiating. The family will be receiving friends Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
Interment will follow in the Refuge Baptist Church cemetery.
