Randy M. Ely

Randy M. Ely, age 69, of Knoxville, formerly of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved cooking, yard work, animals, woodworking, and most importantly his family. He worked on the ground crew at Woodlawn Cemetery for over thirty years and Faye Portable Buildings for fifteen years. Preceded in death by mother, Jewel (Bob) Free; father, Glenn Ely; grandmother, Edith Adkins; great grandmother, Josephine Lee Ely; and brother, Kevin Ely. He is survived by wife, Barbara Ely; daughter, Mildred Harness; grandchildren, Randall Harness, Dustin Greene, Rebecca Spradlin, Adam Edmonds, Charlie Cosby, Robert Guigar, Brittany Edmonds, Todd Guigar, Colton Guigar, and several other grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Diana) Ely of Rocky Top, TN, Darrell Ely of Clinton, TN, Stephen Ely of Clinton, TN, and James Ely of Titusville, FL; sister, Evelyn (Rickey) Poore of Briceville, TN, Glenna (Lonnie) Carroll of Wartburg, TN, and April (Rick) Taylor of Clinton, TN; two nieces; seven nephews; seven great nephews; and three great nieces; five great great nephews; five great great nieces; daughter-in-law, Karen Rutkowski, and son, Harvey Harness. The family and friends will gather at 12:45 pm Monday November 22, 2021, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 pm graveside service with Dr. Alan Smith officiating.
