Randy Allen Knight, 65 entered eternal life on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Randy was born in Garland, Texas to Denny and LaJune Knight on December 2, 1958. He passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital after a brief illness.
Randy graduated from Temple High School. He attended Temple Junior College and Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas studying Agriculture. He worked most of his life as an independent paint contractor. Randy had the heart of an artist. He was a passionate fisherman and musician. He was a wealth of knowledge and enjoyed crossword puzzles, and an afternoon "Western". He was a lifetime member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple.
Randy is survived by his beloved mother, Edna LaJune Knight of Temple; sister Deidra Knight of Dickson, TN; uncles Richard (Hazel) Knight of Temple and Barney (Linda) Knight of Austin, Texas and a host of cousins and extended family. Randy loved his family deeply, but also leaves behind a family of friends who share cherished memories.
He is preceded in death by his father, Denny Morris Knight, brother, Coleman Wayne Knight, Paternal grandparents JD & Marie Knight, Maternal grandparents, Owen & Edna Stracener and Aunt, Peggy Stracener Johnson.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held Sunday afternoon July 28, 2024, at 3:00pm at Heights Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will follow the service. His interment will be at the Holland Cemetery.
