Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center - CrestonWith profound sadness, we announce the passing of our son, Randy John Miller, who passed away on August 4th 2025 at his home at the age of 54.
Randy (RJ) was born November 1, 1970 to Butch Miller and Sherry (Bell) Parrott in Creston Iowa. He graduated from Creston High School in 1989. He worked for Smith construction upon graduation and then followed in his dads footsteps as an over the road truck driver.
He met his wife, Lisa, while trucking in Tennessee. They were married December 12th 2012. He became a step dad to Mackensea and Kassidy. After his marriage he gave up over the road and became a local truck driver. They lived in Afton Iowa and then moved back to Tennessee to be closer to their daughters and granddaughter Evelyn. He had an adventurous spirit and will be missed by his dogs Jaxx and Arlo and everyone else who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Lisa; stepdaughters Mackensea (Bre) Durham and granddaughter Evelyn of Woodlawn TN; Kassidy Jones; parents Butch (Myrna) Miller of Campe Verde AZ and Sherry (Monte) Parrott of Afton IA; brothers Scot Miller of Adel IA and TJ Parrott of Des Moines IA; sisters Season Trevino of North Platte NE and Krystal Miller of Porter OK; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; uncles Gaylan and Rick, and aunt Linda
There will be a celebration of life Saturday, September 27th 2025 - 12:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, Creston Iowa. Randy always had rescue animals so In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family and Animal rescue TBD. Please come and help us celebrate the life of our cherished son, husband, brother and friend.
