Randy Reitz Obituary
Rand Harvey Reitz, age 78, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia Missouri with his daughters by his side. He was born May 13, 1945, in Biloxi, Mississippi, a son of the late Wilson A. and Elsie (Rand) Reitz.
Randy was a veteran of the United States Navy, his love of the water brought him to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1984. Randy along with his late brother, Wilson Arthur Reitz Jr., owned and operated Reitz Construction and Service and Reitz Heating and Cooling in Sunrise Beach. Randy loved the lake and could always be found on his boat and in later years with his friends at Vinny's Restaurant and Bar.
Randy is survived by his daughters, Meillyn and husband Tim Schmidt of Gravois Mills and Julie Reitz of Gravois Mills; five grandchildren, Nathaniel Moore, Austin Hymes, Randi Evans, Drake Schmidt, Emily Evans and two great-grandchildren, Aria and Bentley.
A memorial service will be held at the home that he built and raised his daughters, 32989 Green Hills Road in Gravois Mills (Bass Point Road), on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 p.m., military honors will be conferred at 3:00 p.m.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
