Randy C. Scott, age 65, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at his Oquawka residence at an earlier date. Randy was born on March 18, 1959 in Macon, Missouri and is the son of LaHoyt Richard and Thelma Yevonne Cress Scott. Randy and the family moved to Stronghurst when he was eight years of age, where he attended local schools and graduated from Stronghurst High School with the class of 1977. After his schooling Randy began work at Wilson Foods in Monmouth where he worked as a line person cutting meat. In 1983, Randy moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1983 and was employed as a meat cutter at Safeway Foods for six years, before returning to Burlington, Iowa. He then was employed by Walmart there until his retirement in 2019. Randy loved to play golf and did so at many of the area golf courses. Randy is survived by his brothers, Donald "Smiley" Scott of Gladstone, Illinois, Ronald P. "Rusty" Scott of West Burlington, Iowa and a daughter Makensie Henry and his granddaughter, Avery, who he loved very much in Bartlesville. Oklahoma, and numerous other relatives. He is preceded in his death by his parents, one sister Laura Sue and one brother Daniel LeRoy.
Due to the situation surrounding his death, cremation is being accorded Randy. His family plans a "Celebration of his Life" at a later date. Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois is in charge of his care. To leave a concolence or for more information please visit www.turnbullfuneralhomes.com
