Randy Lee Smith, a beloved presence in the lives of everyone he encountered, departed this world at the age of 62 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, on May 27, 2025. Born on September 3, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, but spent most of his life in Irving Texas. Randy was a man whose vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

For 14 years, Randy dedicated himself to his career as the District Sales Manager for Kimball Midwest, where his outgoing personality and passion for connecting with others made him an invaluable asset. He was not just a skilled salesman but a cherished friend and mentor to many. Randy never met a stranger; he had a unique ability to light up a room and make everyone feel included. His laughter resonated in the hearts of friends and family alike, embodying his role as the life of the party wherever he went.

Outside of work, Randy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished weekends spent fishing, time absorbed in woodworking projects, and the thrill of deer hunting adventures. These hobbies were not just pastimes; they were moments of peace and reflection for him. Through these activities, he created treasured memories that he joyfully shared with his loved ones.

Randy's heart belonged most profoundly to his family, who were the pride and joy of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Christina M. Smith, and their two daughters, Amy E. Smith and Stephanie Smith Surls and her husband Devin Surls who was a very special person in his life. Randy’s role as a father and grandfather was one of his proudest accomplishments, especially the joy he felt in being a grandpa to his precious grandson, Rhylee Surls. He also cherished the close bonds he maintained with his mother, Yvonne Smith, and his mother-in-law, Barbara Holub. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Danny Smith and Vicky DaVault, his sister-in-law, Stacie Smith, and his brother-in-law, Jerry DaVault. He also leaves behind his best friends, Bill and Norma Basham. Bill was like a father figure to Randy.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Smith, and his father-in-law, Clarence Holub. He also honors the memory of his favorite aunt, Virginia Bucher, who played a significant role in his life.

As we come together to say our final goodbyes, a visitation will be held on May 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where the family will greet from 5-7 PM, followed by a funeral service on May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM, both taking place at Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, OK. Burial will follow at Marble City Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Devin Surls, Bill Basham, Jerry DeVault, Danny Smith, Chad Smith, Paul Winkler, Darrell Hobby, and Jim Peerson. Chris Thomas will be officiating.

Although Randy has left this earthly realm, his laughter, love, and zest for life remain etched in our hearts. He will forever be remembered as a shining beacon of kindness and joy, a special soul who had a way of making everyone feel valued. His legacy will continue through his family and all the countless lives he touched.
