Randy Allen "Alk" Smith, 64, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away at his home on November 3, 2025.
Randy was born in Zanesville on September 22, 1961, to the late Russell Marion Smith and Rita (Tracey) Smith. He was very outgoing and loved being around people. As one of eight children, he had a natural ability to connect well with others. He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed attending concerts, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A graduate of the Industrial Maintenance program at Muskingum Area Joint Vocational School, he went on to work at Longaberger, followed by owning and managing a local tanning salon, limo service, and a handful of rental properties. Randy was a member of the Eagles #302 of Zanesville.
Randy is survived by his four children, Ashley Wood of Zanesville, Cory Smith of Newark, Randy (Abigail) Smith of Thornville, and Keely (Eric) McEnnis of Port Saint Lucie, Fl; lifelong companion, Lori Crawford; four siblings, Sharon Grant, Brenda Fleming, Crystal Burkett, and Linda Rodeheaver, all of Zanesville; several grandchildren; several close friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Smith, and two sisters, Shirley Grant and Delores Martin.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. Burial will conclude services at Greenwood Cemetery in Zanesville.
