Obituary of Randy Joe Welch
Bound for a beautiful eternity in heaven, Randy Joe Welch, age 76, quickly departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 27, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Independence Chapel at Greenwood Mausoleum with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow in the family plot at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Randy was born on Saturday, January 25, 1947, at home on the family farm in rural southwest Arkansas. He graduated from Langley High School (Langley, Arkansas) in 1965. He was an Air Force veteran and served in Da Nang, Vietnam. He was a member of Benbrook United Methodist Church. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 2010. After retiring, he enjoyed working in the garden and yard with Missy (the affectionate nickname he gave Charlotte.) He loved sharing fruits and vegetables from their harvest with family, friends, neighbors, fellow church members and his doctors. He also spent time investing in the stock market and real estate.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton (1976); mother, Ida (1983); sisters, Evarie (1995) and Neza (2004); brothers, Hermigene (2010) and Roland (2016); and beloved son, Tony (2018);
Randy is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Charlotte; son, Eric (Jody); grandsons, Blake and Trevor (Marin); daughter-in-law, Melissa; sister, Sylvia; and brothers, John and Donald (JoAnn).

Mother and I love you so very much! We will always remember you and your undying love for us. We know you bravely and fiercely fought the past 14 years to stay here with us. You never complained, wavered or questioned God's will. Genuine, dedicated, humble, dependable, generous, kind, caring, compassionate, accepting, fallible, tenacious, strong-willed, hard-working, witty, humorous- our rock, foundation, provider and hero! Rest easy and behold the majestic splendor of your promise-filled reward!
