Raquel (Rachel) Amanda Esquivel-Poore, age 53 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully in her home on February 14, 2024, after a long battle with Diabetes/Kidney Failure.
Rachel was born on April 11, 1970, to Armando (deceased) and Manuela Esquivel in Mason City, Iowa.
After graduating from high school, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts. She gained employment as a childcare aide where she met her lifelong friends, Maria "Gabby" Gibson and Mia Luck.
Rachel met Christopher C. Poore in Branson, Missouri. They were married on January 17, 1998 until Rachel's passing. Although they did not have children, Rachel was a loving aunt to her niece, nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Rachel enjoyed life to its fullest celebrating special occasions with friends and family. She especially enjoyed traveling, attending cultural festivals, playing board games, researching family genealogy and spending time with her cats.
Rachel was predeceased by her father, Armando Esquivel, sister, Grace Esquivel and baby brother, Armando Esquivel, Jr. She is survived by her husband Chris Poore of Las Vegas, Nevada; her mother, Manuela Esquivel, sisters, Irma Toles and Hope Esquivel-Rosenberg and brother, Edward Esquivel all of Branson, and her brother Mickey (Eloy) Esquivel of Mason City, IA.
Mass Intention will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 203 Vaughn Rd, Branson, Missouri on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 9:00 am Central Time. A memorial service and time of visitation will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, 1638 E. State Hwy 76, Branson, Missouri on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
