Raul Gananca Obituary
Raul P Gananca, 83, of West Springfield passed away at Baystate Medical Center on October 10, 2025. Born in Ponta do Sol, Madeira, he was the son of the late Antonio deSilva Gananca and the late Maria Ines (Ponte) Gananca.
Raul was a proud Navy veteran who served his country while being stationed on the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier. While onboard he was worked fueling aircraft on the flight deck. Upon his discharge he worked as a photographer until his retirement.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 10am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
