Antonio Pereira Sr, 83, of New Bedford, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Friday, October 3, 2025. Born in Aldeias, Portugal, he was the son of the late Alfredo Rito and the late Maria Gloria Paulo.
Antonio was a long time Master Pipe Fitter who worked servicing the many fishing boats in and around the New Bedford waterfront. He was a kind man who was loved by everyone who knew him.
Antonio leaves behind his daughter, Elizabeth Marques; son, Antonio Pereira Jr; grandchildren, Alexander, Mandi, Krysten and Jessica; great grandchildren, Maeson, Miyah, Chelsea and Gianna; close family friends, Rita and Robert Petitjean and Godson, David Coelho.
In accordance with his wishes, Antonio will be cremated and a graveside service with his cremated remains will be announced at a later date.
