Raul Amado Pizzini

Raul A. Pizzini, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on Friday, September 13th, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas, Raul lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love. Raul proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, he embarked on a long and successful career as a General Foreman for General Motor Corporation, where his leadership and work ethic were admired by all who knew him. Raul was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Therese of Lisieux in Shelby Twp. Raul was a resident of Shelby Township, MI, where he built a warm and loving home with his cherished wife, Betty C. Pizzini. Together, they raised two sons, David and Gordon, who were the pride and joy of his life. Raul's family extended to his daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Jeannette, his adored granddaughters, Michelle (Joe), Jessica (Christopher), and Francesca, and his beloved great grandchildren, Landon, Leah, Lucas, Mason, and soon to be great grandchild, all of whom brought immense happiness to his later years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest B. Pizzini and Mary Pizzini, who instilled in him the values of hard work and integrity. Raul's life will be celebrated and remembered on August 25, 2025 at Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp.) from 2:00 - 7:00 pm with a service and rosary starting at 7:00 pm.
