Raúl Hurtado Sánchez Jr.

Con profundo dolor en nuestros corazones, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Raúl Sánchez Jr. Raúl falleció repentina e inesperadamente el 4 de agosto de 2025, a la temprana edad de 53 años.


Raúl nació el 18 de enero de 1972 en Michoacán, México, hijo de Raúl Sr. y Alicia Sánchez. Creció en Oxnard, California. A la edad de 16 años, conoció a su esposa y el amor de su vida, Hilda Ortiz. Juntos comenzaron una vida de 37 años en la que recibieron con amor a sus hijos: Raúl Sánchez III, nacido en 1997, y Julissa Sánchez, nacida en 1999. Raúl y Hilda criaron a sus hijos inculcándoles el amor, los valores fundamentales y la moral con los que ellos mismos fueron formados. Raúl se aseguró de que sus hijos entendieran el valor del esfuerzo y del trabajo duro; y aunque muchas veces expresaba su amor con firmeza, sus hijos eran su todo. Raúl y Hilda fueron grandes viajeros, pero especialmente disfrutaban vacacionar en su casa en Acuitzeramo, México, una casa que construyeron juntos.


A lo largo de su vida, Raúl logró muchas metas, incluyendo su graduación de la academia de policía en Allan Hancock College y la academia de bomberos. Obtuvo su título como técnico psiquiátrico a una edad muy temprana y disfrutaba conducir su tráiler por muchos estados. Fue egresado del Oxnard College, donde obtuvo su título de asociado, y trabajó como técnico psiquiátrico para el estado de California por más de 20 años. Raúl disfrutaba viajar con su esposa, caminar por las mañanas, cocinar, enseñar lecciones de vida, disfrutar una buena taza de café y escuchar a Los Bukis. Era un coleccionista apasionado de muchas cosas, porque para él, nunca era suficiente.


Raúl será profundamente extrañado y recordado por su familia, sus amigos y por todos aquellos a quienes impactó durante su vida. Sus valores, su influencia perdurable y las enseñanzas que dejó en tantos, vivirán y serán recordadas por siempre. Su legado permanecerá y él vivirá eternamente en nuestros corazones.


Raúl deja atrás a su esposa, Hilda Ortiz; a sus hijos, Raúl Sánchez III y Julissa Sánchez; a su madre, Alicia Sánchez; y a su hermana, Martha Sánchez. Raúl fue precedido en muerte por su padre, Raúl Sánchez Sr.

It is with the deepest sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Raul Sanchez Jr. Raul passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 4, 2025 at the young age of 53.


Raul was born to Raul Sr. and Alicia Sanchez on January 18, 1972 in Michoacan Mexico, he was raised in Oxnard California. At the young age of 16, he met his wife and the love of his life, Hilda Ortiz. As Raul and Hilda began their 37 year life journey, they welcomed to the world their son, Raul Sanchez III, in 1997 and daughter Julissa Sanchez in 1999. Together, Raul and Hilda raised their children, and instilled in them, the love, core values and morals, with which they were raised. Raul made sure that his children understood the value of a hard earned dollar and although he expressed himself through tough love, his kids were his everything. Raul and Hilda were world travelers, but especially enjoyed vacationing in their home in Acuitzeramo, Mexico, a home that together, they built.


Raul had many accomplishments throughout his life, which included the completion of the police academy at Allan Hancock college and the fire academy. He earned his psychiatric technician degree at a very young age and loved to drive his semi truck across many states. He was a graduate of Oxnard College, where he earned his associates degree, and he worked as a psychiatric technician for the state of California for over 20 years. Raul, enjoyed traveling with his wife, early morning walks, cooking, teaching life lessons, enjoying a good cup of coffee and listening to Los Bukis. He was an avid collector of many things, because to him, too much was never enough.


Raul will be deeply missed and remembered by his family, his friends, and all those that he impacted throughout his life. Raul’s values, his lasting influence and the lessons that he instilled on so many during his lifetime will be felt and remembered forever. His legacy will live on and he will remain alive in our hearts.


Raul leaves behind his wife, Hilda Ortiz, his children, Raul Sanchez III and Julissa Sanchez, mother, Alicia Sanchez, and sister, Martha Sanchez. Raul is preceded in death by his father, Raul Sanchez Sr.
