Rev. Ray Leon Chandler

Rev. Ray Leon Chandler – age 88, of Mascot, TN went to his heavenly home on December 25, 2025. He was born on October 29, 1937. He was saved Mother's Day morning 1961. In 1963 he was called to preach God's word. He pastored many churches in several counties in East Tennessee. He was a member of Spiritual Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Leva Chandler; wife of 65 years, Wanda Chandler; wife, Faye Beeler Chandler; and brothers, James, Hollis and William Glenn Chandler.
He is survived by his daughters, Sheila (Gary) Buckner and Connie (Ronnie) McBee of Luttrell; son, Michael (Tara) Chandler of Mascot; grandchildren, Joey (Holly) McBee and Justin (Tasha) McBee of Luttrell, Joshua (Meredith) Buckner of Knoxville, Jacob (Briana) Chandler of Blaine and Isaac Chandler of Mascot; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Kylie, Kenzy, Aubrey and Hunter McBee of Luttrell, Judah and Mary Chandler Buckner of Knoxville and Jackson Ray Chandler of Blaine; sister, Delphia (Johnny) Davis of Blaine; and a host of nieces, nephews and special longtime friends.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Rutledge Pike Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM, with Rev. Clifford Fraker and Rev. Aaron Hunley officiating. Music will be provided by Hubert and Dolly Nash and Brent and Leslie Shoemaker. Family and friends will meet at 2:15 PM on Sunday at Bridges Funeral Home and go in procession for a 3:00 PM interment at Rutledge Pike Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Joey McBee, Justin McBee, Joshua Buckner, Jacob Chandler, Isaac Chandler, Hunter McBee and Tony Chandler.
Honorary pallbearers: Judah Buckner, Jackson Ray Chandler, Steve DeVault, Jimmy Helton and Floyd Hayes.
