John E. Rudder

John E. Rudder - age 83, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 1, 1942.

John was a loving father, husband, and papaw. Throughout his life, he remained dedicated to his church, his family, and his friends. He graduated in 1960 from Carter High School. He retired from work at Peterbilt. He was in the Mascot Mason Chapter and Mascot OES for 50 years. He was a member of Mascot Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He loved to go to church, play golf, go fishing, and watch ball games. He was a true Tennessee Volunteer Fan.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Anna Mae Rudder; his sister; and his brother.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Rudder; daughters, Donna and Teresa; grandchildren, Bruce, Cynthia Rudder, and Kevin Glandon (Page); great-grandchildren, Kameron Glandon, Kailynn Glandon, Dylan Rudder, Ayden Glandon, Hunter Rudder, and Bonnie Glandon; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Ruby Haggard (Paul).

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Bridges Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Lewis Thomas and Pastor Zach Barnhart officiating. Family and friends gather at 10:15 AM on Thursday at Bridges Funeral Home to go in procession to Eastview Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service.

Pallbearers: Kevin Glandon, Brian Haggard, Billy Norton, David Norton, Bobby Weaver, and Bruce Thomas.
