Euna Ray Jones, age 87, of Meadowview, VA, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Bristol Hospice House.
Ray was a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA. He was employed at HAPCO Pole Products in Abingdon, VA, for 45 years. Ray was a faithful member of Pilgrim Baptist Church for 42 years, where he served his Lord as a devoted deacon for 41 years.
Ray was a talented craftsman, and he could fix or build anything; he often helped his neighbors with various projects. Ray was an avid gardener and, most of all, loved to share his harvest with his friends and neighbors.
Ray was born to the late Douglas and Ida Jones. He was also preceded in death by his late wife, Lee Ann Jones, of 56 years; and his sisters, Francis Wilcox, Dorothy Jones, and Peggy Meadow.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian Hayes Jones, who brought great comfort to him in his last days; his step-daughter, Tina Osborne (Kevin); his step-grandson, Nicolas Osborne (Lydia); and his step-great-granddaughter, Laramie Osborne, all of Meadowview, VA. His sisters, Irma Jones of Abingdon, VA, and Patsy Spadlin of Roanoke, VA; one niece, Murleen Craighead; one nephew, David Scruggs; specials friends, G.C. Brown and Fred and Pauline Buckles.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2026, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, with Pastor Doug Findley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to Pilgrim Baptist Church, 16428 Pilgrim Lane, Abingdon, VA 24210.
