Ray McCollum, age 58, 7/17/1967 – 08/05/2025, seven was his lucky number. Ray always had a seven on his vehicle and bike tags, but in the past few years, there have been no 7s! He loved to ride his Harley; both fell into his lap. His brother Tommy found the first one. Ray saw the second one with his knees in the breeze and his head in the clouds. He could clear his mind with the freedom of the road; his stress would melt away, but for the past few years, he couldn't ride. He missed it so much; his other hobbies, such as hunting and fishing, were still a stress relief, but weren't enough fabrication was like a past time when he ran into a problem, he would go for a ride to figure out the problem. Tiffiny McCollum, his wife, age 57 Shawna Wampler, the eldest daughter, passed away on January 1, 2022. Her children are Hunner Hinkston, Shyann Hinkston, and Skyler Wampler. Her grandchildren are Danielle, Autumn & Maggie, twin girls, and James. Ray's oldest son, Jason Mccollum, his spouse, Shauna their children, Sadie, Gage, twins Lucas & Zoey, and his youngest son, Jaxon Ray's youngest son, Steven McCollum, his wife, Kasey, and their children, Bryson, Ava, and Wesson Ray's youngest daughter, Latasha McCollum, her husband Chris Lambert, and her daughter Elizabeth Rays' brother Tommy, his son Terry, and Easton McCollum his wife Trinette, their sons Daniel and Justin Ray was a family man; of course, many dads worked too much and way too hard. Still, he tried to make up for it. Once on a whim, he took the kids out of school and took them to McCasland's for burgers after lunch, to a daytime movie, Beverly Hills Ninja, and they loved it. He always took them fishing and camping. That's where they get their love for the outdoors from. I – Tiffiny would make plans for the cookouts, but RAY was responsible for cooking. This is to get a feel for the man he was when it came to playing fishing or camping. Things had to be done first, such as mowing, picking up the yard, and putting limbs away in a pile to be burned, if any, before we could play, have fun, and such. He was honest, straight to the point; he didn't sugarcoat anything. If you didn't like what he said there was always the door and don't let it hit your ass on the way out if he ever seen some one on the side of the road like he always did he would paly it over in his head, Christ would always let him know if it was the right time to stop and help funniest encounter was on his way home form work he was going down 66 highway about 1-1/2 miles east of arcadia he seen a man sitting on the hood of his car, as he drove by he heard the car running Ray pulled over, got out and went over to talk to the man, found out the man pulled over to help a turtle cross the road and somehow locked his self out of his car with it running ray took the man to make a call (before cell phones) then took the man back to his He was honest, straight to the point; he didn't sugarcoat anything. We met in the summer of 1977 (there's them 7's again) at a church where we sat together during worship. Ray fell asleep on my shoulder. We went to school together till he dropped out due to taking care of his oldest daughter, working to make a place in this horrible world safe for her, We have known each other for around 50 years, and we have been married for almost 40 years I have always liked my quiet time, kids at school, and rays at work Now the silence is too loud He will be missed dearly till we meet again. babe
