Ray Anthony Peters was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Marguerite Peters and Leon Ramsey on August 2, 1961. He attended Booker T. Washington High School. Ray worked at Eurest Janitorial for 40 years. Ray affectionately known as "Big Head" loved spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, and drinking his Heineken. He always had a way of making everyone he met feel special.
Ray leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Rayshell & Joseph Peters & Rayondra Jones; his Godchildren, Gorgeous Phillip, Laken, Lamar, and Nova Marshall; his siblings, Gloria Mikell, Wali Muhammad, Sharon Warner, Rodney (Karen) Peters, Rutha Peters (Mark), Lesley Peters (Robert), Queen Troy (Anthony) Armstead and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by his closest companions, A.J. & Shirley Carpenter, Cherylynn Peters, Glen Forman, Margaret Cobbs, and Gerald Young.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ziggy Peters; mother, Marguerite Peters; father, Leon Ramsey; and brother, Kerry Page.
