Ray Wilfred Shearin, 77 of Monroe, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 at Pineville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to the late Sallie Lois Davis and Elgin Shearin.Ray (Will) will be remembered for his deep love of family, outdoors, and bluegrass music.He found joy in the simple things-listening to his favorite music, working in the garden, and tending to his flowers. He loved spending time outside, especially when surrounded by the people he loved most.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Harold “Junior” Shearin, George “W.G.” Shearin, Mike Davis, and Larry Davis.He is survived by his brothers, David Shearin (Janet) and Dexter Davis (Myra); his sister, Diane Rogich; his sisters-in-law, Colleen Shearin, Joan Shearin, and Linda McCorkle; as well as many beloved nephews and nieces.The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
