Ray Cornelius Silvers

Ray Cornelius Silvers, 93, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the son of the late David Wilse and Harriett Edwards Silvers. Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Evelyn Howell Silvers, a son, Danny Silvers, and a grandson, Brad Silvers.

Ray is survived by a daughter, Sherry DeBruhl (Eddie) and their children, Holly DeBruhl (Jeremy) and Buddy Debruhl; son, David Silvers (Tina) and their children, Andy Silvers (Crystal), Casey Silvers and Holly Silvers, and son, Gordon Silvers (Maria) and their children, Jacob Silvers (Kelly) and Jeremy Silvers (Jennifer), grandchildren, Chad and Summer Silvers; great grandchildren, London, Karrington, Jaak, Madelyn, and Sebastian Silvers, Jake Huey, Zoe DeBruhl, Eva and Matty Hall, Zeb, Jackson, Dillion, Preston Silvers and Paisley; and two great great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Zackry McCart; and special friends, Randy Tweed and family, and David Kanaar and family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Sybil and Colleen, for the exceptional care they provided for Ray.

Ray was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.

And to his family, there was God, Jesus, and then "Pap".
