Ray Coleman Snodgrass, 95, of Pocahontas passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.
Ray was born May 15, 1930 in Pocahontas to the late Joseph William and Nola Anther Coleman Snodgrass. Ray proudly served in the United States Air Force where he played semi-pro basketball. He operated an electronics business in Pocahontas for many years, was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan, and lover of animals. Ray also served on the Pocahontas School Board.
Ray was devoted to his Methodist faith and was a longtime lay preacher and choir member at Pocahontas United Methodist Church. He was also an active member of the Gideons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Smith Snodgrass; parents, Joseph William and Nola Anther Snodgrass; grandson, Brian Davis; brothers, J.W. Snodgrass and Jack Snodgrass, and sister, Betty Lou Cook.
Ray is survived by his children, Susan Blevins of Pocahontas, Darel (Judy) Snodgrass of Memphis, TN, David (Patti) Snodgrass of Jonesboro, and Marilu (Gene Brown) Snodgrass of Inver Grove Heights, MN; grandchildren, Adam (Andrea) Davis, Lauren (Andy) Gittus, Brittany (Justin) Hart, Payton (Angel) Snodgrass, Jared Brown, and Jordan Brown; great-grandchildren, Kinley Davis, Andi Davis, Landon Luffman, Jake Luffman, Emma Hart, Zane Hart, Kellett Gittus, Coleman Gittus, Gray Snodgrass, and one on the way; brother, Jim (Ann) Snodgrass; and many other relatives and friends.
All services will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, May 19, 2025 from 5-7 PM and the funeral service will be Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 10 AM with Pat Bodenhamer officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Andy Gittus, Justin Hart, Payton Snodgrass, Jared Brown, Adam Davis, and Kellett Gittus.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Coleman Gittus, Zane Hart, Emma Hart, Gray Snodgrass, Jordan Brown, and Kim Murray.
