Ray enjoyed playing tennis and golf, and was a member of the Hyde Park Swim and Tennis Club and Regina Coeli Golf League. He really enjoyed attending his children's swim meets, crew races, concerts, tennis matches, and little league baseball games. He spent hours helping his sons with car repairs.
Ray was always willing to help others and he always saw the good in everyone and every situation. He will be missed by all who knew him.
On June 29, 1957, in Portland, Maine, he married Sylvia Marylyn Langlais. Mrs. Sutton, his wife of 65 years, survives at home.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers John R., William, Ernest, Clayton, and John P. Sutton; and sisters, Irene Robitaille, and Lillian and Theresa Sutton.
The family would like to thank the staff at Accent Care and his aides, Shawana and Michelle, for their care and kindness.
