Memorial services for Ray "Buddy" Tatum, Sr. 82 of Winnsboro will be 10 AM Saturday December 13, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. James Busby officiating. The family will be receiving friends at 9 AM at the church all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Buddy was born March 25, 1943, in Ferriday, LA and entered into his heavenly home on December 8, 2025, at his home in Winnsboro.

Buddy was a member and Deacon at Temple Baptist Church. He was also a member and supporter of Delta Water Fowl, the Winnsboro Gun Club and Twin Oaks Country club and loved playing golf. Mrs. Barbara, his high school sweetheart, was the love of his life. They loved traveling and fishing together. He retired from Northeast Louisiana Vo-Tech School as a welding instructor after teaching thousands how to weld.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Tatum, Sr. and Mary Rozier Tatum, and brothers Marvin Tatum, Jr. and Bruce Tatum.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Tatum of Winnsboro, LA, son, Ray Tatum, Jr. (wife Tracie) of Downsville, LA, two daughters, Terri Robertson (husband Darrell) of Bossier City, LA and DLynn Miracle (husband Mark) of Argyle, TX, brother, Bill Tatum of Cleveland, MS., 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Jennifer Robertson Scholarship Foundation at Louisiana College.
