Ray Wilmot, 85, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, at his residence in Versailles, Kentucky. He was born February 28, 1940, in Berea, Kentucky to the late Alex and Myrtle Humes Wilmot.
Ray retired from the Woodford County Road Department and was a member of Versailles Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalia Florence Stratton, daughter in law, Veronica Bowman, and grandson, Thomas Nathan Bowman.
Ray will belovingly remembered by his children, Kelly G. Bowman, Versailles, Kentucky, Rosmarie Hedden (John), Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Tammy Dial (Larry), Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, grandchildren, Daniel Patrick Bowman (Kipp), April Jutz (Steve), Samantha Penn (Dale), Kenneth Dial (Brittany), Christy Dial, great grandchildren, Stazia Yates (Joe), Trinity Hume, Alijah Hume, Brayden Tingle, Cekiera Nation, Aiden Penn, Madison Bowman, Barrett Bowman, Kiara Hill, Keagan Hill, Skylynn Dial, Hudson Dial, great great grandchildren, Kiley Yates, Lila Yates, Bowman Yates, Joe Ray Yates, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home Versailles, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Patrick Bowman, Kenneth Dial, Dale Penn, Steve Jutz, Joe Yates, Alijah Hume, and Danny Bowman.
