Raymond "Ray" Arballo, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away peacefully in Blanding, UT, on September 26, 2023, at the age of 77. Born on October 26, 1945, in Los Angeles, CA, Ray was a man of courage, selflessness, and love. Ray was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles, CA. His work life was varied and vibrant, but he found his most rewarding job as the head custodian for the schools in Monticello. Ray had a special affection for the students and staff at the schools where he worked. His dedication and commitment to the students, teachers, and staff were evident in his work, and he retired from The San Juan County School District with many fond memories and lasting friendships. Ray's service to his country was notable. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served with distinction in The Utah National Guard, contributing to the Desert Storm operation. His courage and selflessness extended beyond his family and community and into his service to his country. A man of many interests, Ray had a deep and abiding love for football. He was a devoted fan of the Raiders and considered himself a true Buckaroo. Alongside his love for sports, Ray enjoyed camping with the Christensen Family. He cherished these moments in the great outdoors, surrounded by loved ones and the tranquility of nature. Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Fana, his cherished children, Ray, Marisa, Gen, and Christy, and his brothers, John (and wife Nellie) and Frank. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, and a dog grandpa to Indica, Ashy, Baby, and Thumper. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. The joy of his life was his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Ray's life was marked by a deep love for his family, a commitment to service, and a passion for sports and the outdoors. He was a man who lived his life with courage and selflessness, always thinking of others before himself. His warm, loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the countless lives he touched throughout his life. We honor Ray's life and legacy and are grateful for the time we had with him.
