Raymond "Tony" Batiste, Jr.

Raymond "Tony" Batiste, Jr., age 60 entered his heavenly home on June 25, 2022. Tony was born to the union of the late Raymond Batiste, Sr., and Audrey Morris Batiste on July 21, 1961. Tony was married to Mary Jarrow Batiste and to this union was born one son, Raymond Batiste, III by whom he was blessed with five grandchildren: Jedaiah Clofer, Jaliyah Marks, Regina Carroll, London Batiste, and Rayland Batiste. He was the loving brother of Vondell and Victoria Batiste.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his aunts: Louise B. Tuircuit, Doris M. Robertson, and Margaret Harper, uncles: Rogers and Morris Batiste, nieces; Brandy B. Lawrence and Brittany B. King, nephews: DeShawn Batiste and Olajuan Batiste: Godchild Courtney M. Evans, and a host of great-nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Tony accepted salvation at an early age and was baptized at Providence Baptist Church #1, by the late Rev. Samuel Jones, Sr.
Relatives, friends of the family, East St. John Class 1979, Pastors, Officers, and Members of First Assembly of God and all who loved Tony are invited to Celebrate his Homegoing, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church, 3001 Hwy 51, LaPlace, LA 70068. Jonathan Smith-Host Pastor, Pastor Earl Gerard, III of The Spirit of Liberty Full Gospel Church-Officiating. In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 mask are required for all in attendance. Interment will be private. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home & Funeral Directors, Inc. 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA 70068. For information 985-359-1919. "Providing Care & Comfort is Our Highest Mission."
