Raymond Ismael Castro, 41, of Watsonville, California, passed away unexpectedly while commercial salmon fishing in Alaska-a pursuit he deeply loved.

A talented woodworker for over 20 years, Raymond was known for his craftsmanship, mechanical skill, and ability to build or fix just about anything. He had a passion for woodworking, fishing, and remote control vehicles, and brought joy and creativity to everything he did.

Raymond was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Caitlin; his daughters, Desiree and Samantha; his 4-year-old son, Carson; his father, Raymond; and his brother, James.

Raymond will be remembered for his sharp wit, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind countless memories, projects built with his hands, and the legacy of a life lived with purpose and heart.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donations can be made to Mehl's Colonial Chapel to help the family with burial costs. We would greatly appreciate it.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The chapel blessing will begin at 11:30 am.
