Allen Daughtrey, 70, of Suffolk, VA passed away on Saturday June 14, 2025. He is preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Daughtrey Sr., his twin daughters Jessica and Erika, and dog Buddy.
Allen, known as "Otis" to his children, was a loving family man and hard worker. Retired after 31 years from VDOT, and a member of Holland Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman with his love of cutting grass, fishing, and his true passion of gardening. Allen loved the Lord and dedicated his life to always putting others before himself.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 10 years, Brenda Daughtrey and dog Scooter; children, Crystal Daughtrey (Wesley), Joshua Daughtrey (Chandi), Jon Michael Daughtrey (Bethany), Caleb Daughtrey (Lacy), and Chase Daughtrey (Savannah); grandchildren, Isabelle and Olivia Daughtrey; mother, Dorothy Daughtrey; brothers, Robert Daughtrey (Cathy) and Jonathan Daughtrey (Shelia); grand-dogs, Roc "Monkey" and Daisy; step-children, Lisa and Ashley; mother of his children, Julia Boone; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th at 11:00 AM at Holland Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 10-11 AM. A private burial will be held at Holland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holland Baptist Church Building Fund, 6519 Holland Rd, Suffolk, VA 23437. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, Downtown Suffolk Chapel is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
