Samuel E. Beale, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA passed away September 16, 2025. He was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Catherine Beale. He is predeceased by his wife, Bobbie Jean; son, Samuel E. Beale, III; and grandson, Michael Nix.

Samuel served as a member of the US Army, Navy, and Coast Guard. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, and spent 40 years volunteering as advocates with special needs. Samuel was a master boat mechanic and a lover of the seas.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Bobby Beale Wahrenburg; grandchildren, Bryant Nix, III, Justin Wahrenburg and Bobby Porter Wahrenburg; daughter-in-law, Kathy Beale; granddaughter, Angel Wurtzer (Aaron); grandson, Bradley Beale; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Celia Board; and numerous extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, Downtown Suffolk Chapel. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of donor's choice. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
