Dwight Allen Lowe

Dwight Allen Lowe, 78, passed away November 12, 2025 at his home in Wakefield, Virginia. He was the son of the late Alvin Howard and Viola Curtis Lowe. He is also predeceased by his brother in law Robert Parsons.
Dwight was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Carrier (USCGC Courier) from 1967 - 1971 and received a good conduct medal. He spent most of his life working in metal fabrication at Holt Metal Products and Carolina Bark Products. He was known for his problem solving at job sites.
Dwight was an avid bicyclist often riding with a group in Richmond. He loved all animals especially dogs and enjoyed taking his dogs on long nature walks, he also enjoyed hiking in the mountains and spending most of his days outside. He was a lover of good food and enjoyed many vacations in Ocracoke, North Carolina which was his favorite place to visit.
Dwight is remembered by his sister, Beverly Parsons; his niece, Noelle Laney (Mark); his nephew, Neil Parsons (Stacey); his good friends Lynn Thornton, W.P. "Perk" Taylor (G. Lee) and Jack Huber; and his very close cousins whom he grew up with, Wayne Lowe (Phyllis) and Brent Lowe (Debi), and in later years Clay Lowe (Jenny) and Jameson Lowe; as well as many other cherished family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday November 17, 2025 at 11:00am at Rocky Hock Methodist Church Cemetery (2745 White Marsh Road, Wakefield, VA 23888). A gathering of friends and family will begin one hour prior in the social hall.
