He was born on April 2, 1945, in Rochester to Raymond and Mary (Kilcullen) Drouin, Sr.
Ray attended Somersworth High School before beginning his work as a machinist at General Electric in Somersworth, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed playing cards, whether it be poker, scat, canasta or his favorite card game, cribbage. Ray also enjoyed shuffleboard, horseshoes, camping and canoeing. However, his favorite pastime was bowling. He also enjoyed his visits with his mother-in-law Therese Baillargeon while she was at Rochester Manor, so much so that he was the Manor's Santa Claus for several years.
Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Estelle (Baillargeon) Drouin of Rochester; sister Lynn Farwell of Dover and brother Robert Drouin of Dover; daughter Michelle Velleca; 2 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.
Services: a time of visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 11 at the Grondin Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, New Hampshire. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 12 at the Holy Rosary Church, 189 North Main Street in Rochester. Arrangements are under the direction of Grondin Funeral Home.
