Raymond Casal Easter, 97 years old, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Easter, his oldest daughter, Cassandra Ejuan Campbell, and a host of brothers and sisters who he loved dearly. He is survived by his children, Ramona Adams of North Carolina (Eddie), son-in-law, Phillip Campbell of Amherst County, Virginia, Bradley Easter of Amelia, Virginia (Diane), Randy "Runt" Easter of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina (Zandti), and Dr. Shannon E. Sturgill of Lenoir City, Tennessee (Brien). He was blessed with many, beautiful grandchildren, Renea, Mell, Chad, Kim, Daniel, Chasity, Shawn, Josh, Kevin, Nicole, Hannah, Elijah, Gabriel, Benjamin and Ruth and 19 great-children, and two great-great-grandchildren. Casal was born in Amelia County, Virginia, in 1927 during the Great Depression. He grew up in a large family, caring for his brothers and sisters after his father passed away. He loved going to church and being with his family. He loved his wife's family as his own and had close relationships with Dorthy Payne, Ann Hall, and Jane Easter. There will be a graveside service at 4:00 pm on November 22, 2024, at the cemetery located at the Amelia Church of God. The immediate family will gather for a meal at the church fellowship hall following the graveside service.
