Raymond Goldsmith, 85, of Republic, Missouri, formerly of Windsor, Mo., died Saturday, July 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born April 24, 1940, in Windsor, the only son of Clarence Michael Goldsmith and Fern Ann (Snapp) Goldsmith. He married Marguerite Arlene Morarity, and they were the parents of two sons, Clayton and Clinton. On January 1, 2002, he married Barbara P. (Crabtree) Dorsey and they made their home in Windsor.

Raymond was a 1957 graduate of Windsor High School. He worked at the International Shoe Factory and for Clearfield Cheese and Schreiber in Clinton for over 20 years. Retirement brought an opportunity for Raymond to do transportation for the Windsor Amish community. He helped move produce and baked goods from place to place. He most enjoyed the friendships made and stories shared with his Amish friends. Raymond enjoyed farm life and had a way with horses and mules. He was a devoted father to his sons, and they were his pride and joy.

Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home; 2 sons, Clay Goldsmith and his wife Mary, Windsor, and Clint Goldsmith, Windsor; a step-daughter, Teresa (Carter) Woodard, Gahanna, Ohio; 2 step-sons, Joe Dorsey and his wife Colleen, Republic, Mo., and Matt Dorsey, Geronimo, Oklahoma; 5 step-grandchildren, Fisher Gross, Faith Gross, Tristan (Dorsey) Martinez and husband Luis, Parker Dorsey and wife Megan, and Christina Lily Mae (Dorsey) Pickard and husband Anthony; 8 step-great-grandchildren; and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; Arlene Goldsmith; and a stepdaughter, Pam (Carter) Mote.

Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Chaplain Michael Daughrity officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, July 27, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. In appreciation for the support Raymond received after a kidney transplant, the family suggests contributions to the National Kidney Foundation in Kansas City (checks payable to National Kidney Foundation) in care of the funeral home.
