Raymond Thurman Hester

Raymond T. 'RT' Hester, 79, of Bowling Green passed away August 24, 2025 at his residence.

The Warren County native was born July 11, 1946 to the late Garland Ford and Ora Britt Hester. He is also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Gloria Hester; and a grandson, James Gregory. RT was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. He was self-employed in vehicle recovery and mobile home transport for much of his working life. RT loved his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He loved attending country music concerts and never met a meal he didn't love; especially cake or an RC Cola and a Moon Pie.

Survivors include his wife of three years, Peggie Sue Branham Hester; children, Amanda Hubbard (the late Joey), Samantha Gregory (Kenny), Michael Hester, and Steve Hester (Donna); grandchildren, Michelle, Kim, Joey, Ashley, Brittany, Brittany, and Kayne; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; Peggies children, Lisa Guerrero, Gina Wall, Danielle Ghulam, and Amanda Baker; siblings, Elaine Sanders (Alex), Leon Hester (Glenda), Harold Hester (Betty), and Sue Simmons (Richard); and several bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with visitation from 3 until 7 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Plum Springs Cemetery.
