Raymond Joseph Hoffman went home to Jesus on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the age of 72. He was born on Sunday, August 29, 1943 to May and Henry Hoffman, Sr., in New Orleans, LA, where he lived for many years before moving to Laplace, LA in 1979, and then to Loranger, LA in 2004. It was in Loranger that Raymond became known as "Mr. Raymond The Snowball Man". For the past 11 years, Mr. Raymond could be found at M & M Snowballs serving his Loranger friends. He also loved to fish and hunt with his son-in-law, Mike Knox, his best friend, Arthur Abadie, and his grandson Dawson. He was also an avid Saints Fan. Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda Hoffman; his loving daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Michael Knox; and his six adoring grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, Johnny, Haley, Christian, and Dawson. Preceded in death by his parents, May and Henry Hoffman, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin on Monday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Loranger Community Cemetery, Loranger, LA.
