Raymond Kreber, Jr. Obituary
Raymond E. Kreber Jr., age 91, passed away on Monday December 11, 2023, with his family by his side.
Born in Columbus to Raymond Sr. and Esther Kreber. He attended Immaculate Conception grade school and was a graduate of St. Charles High School class of '50. He attended the University of Notre Dame, class of '54; where he was a ROTC member. Upon graduation he served in the US Air Force, 1955-56.
After his discharge he worked in the family business, Kreber Graphics, in a leading role for 40 years. With his brother Frank, they grew the business started by their grandfather in 1905, into a multisite operation that continues with the 4 th generation today. Became involved with commercial real estate with his family.
He was guided by his faith in the Lord and believed in serving his community. He served on the boards of the St. Stephen Community House, The Catholic Foundation and Bishop Watterson High School. He volunteered with the CYO and his children's schools. He was a member of St. Agatha, St. Andrews, and St. Brigid of Kildare parishes. He was a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre.
Survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet A. (Martin), sons Dan (Lois), Tom (Holly) and Mike (Laura) and daughters Beth (Doug) Byorth and Mary (Don) Curtin. 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. His brother Frank (Mary Lou) Kreber and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and sisters Joan and Virgina "Ginny".
A visitation and funeral service will be held Monday, December 18 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Visitation begins at 9:30am with a funeral mass following at 10:30am. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to Christ Child Society of Columbus or St. Stephens Community House.
