Raymond E. Kuhn

Raymond E. Kuhn, age 87, of Jacobus, passed away on May 29, 2024 at UPMC Memorial in York. He was the loving husband of Kay A. (Daniels) Kuhn; together they shared 45 years of marriage.
Raymond was born in York, PA on June 6, 1936 and was the son of the late Edward J. and Edith M. (Landis) Kuhn. He graduated from West York Area High School Class of 1954 and Franklin & Marshall College Class of 1959 and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959 until 1961. Raymond served as the President of the York Jaycees and York Toastmaster Club and was responsible for starting the Junior Miss Program in York County at the York Jaycees. He also served on the reunion committee for the West York Area High School Class of 1954 and was a member of the Jacobus Sewer Authority, Jacobus Fire Company, the Glenville Bean Club, and the Victory Athletic Association. Raymond also enjoyed gardening, painting, and bird wathcing.
In addition to his loving wife Kay, Raymond is survived by his children David Kuhn, John Kuhn and wife Angela, Michael Kuhn and wife Karen, and Kathryn Murdy and husband Lee; his first wife Rita (Smith) Halverson; his grandchildren Patrick Kuhn, Benjamin Murdy, Hannah Corbett, and Mariah Corbett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Sherry Osburn.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Raymond's life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York, 3670 E. Market St., York, PA 17402 with Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant Donna Hoffman officiating. Interment will be held privately at Holy Savior Cemetery in York. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:00PM – 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
