Raymond Melow, age 68, of Alma, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Arbor Grove Assisted Living in Alma.

Ray was born June 17, 1957, in Livonia, the son of Ivan and Muriel (McMahon) Melow. He graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1975. He married Sandra Cook on March 14, 1992. Ray worked for Garr Tool for 43 years before retiring as the inventory control manager. He had multiple leadership roles with the St. Louis Nazarene Church and attended the Community Church in Alma. He enjoyed golfing and loved baseball, especially the Tigers.

Ray is survived by his wife Sandy, children Andrea Onstott, Ryan (Stacy) Melow, Lisa (Warren) Hartnell-Cook, Matthew Melow, grandchildren Allison, Bryce, Adalynn, siblings Pamela (Joe) Strange, Melody (Donald) Eichorn, Gary (Valorie) Melow, special dog Ziggy and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Muriel, son-in-law Chris Onstott, sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Keith Ostrander and brother John Melow.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 12 pm at Community Church in Alma with Pastors Jay Laffoon and Aaron Mora officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 am until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebrate Ministries Inc using the link below.
