Raymond E. Morrison

Ray E Morrison, 74, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born July 6, 1951, to Claire Morrison and Evelyn Harms, Ray was raised in Washington State and Colorado. He spent a brief time in the Army during the Vietnam War, and soon thereafter met and married the love of his life Sharon Rhoades. Ray spent the beginning of his life with Sharon attending Bible College, starting his own carpentry business, and moving into ministry.

Ray loved his daughters, Melissa, Rhonda, and Tammy. He loved nothing more than supporting them, hearing their stories, and seeing their lives grow and blossom throughout the years.

As much as Ray loved his family, his love for God was at the center of his life. He received the Lord into his life in 1974 and spent every moment he could over the past 51 years telling others about Jesus Christ who saved him and changed his life. Ray and Sharon helped to build the Kingdom of God spiritually by pastoring churches in North Dakota, Kansas, Texas, Missouri, Washington, and Oregon. Included in these states were churches that he either started, served as an intern pastor, or pastored for extended years all through the Pentecostal Church of God. They also built the Kingdom of God physically helping the body of Christ build, repair, and add on to churches across the nation.

In his spare time, Ray loved to tinker with cars, do carpentry work, hunt, play golf, and spend time traveling with his family. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith in God, his continual witnessing to total strangers leading them to Jesus, and his friendship to everyone he met, his devotion to family, his sense of humor, his creative solutions in carpentry, his quick rescues when Sharon or his daughters needed help finishing projects, and his dedication to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sharon Morrison; his daughters, Melissa Finger, Rhonda Morrison, and Tammy Bassett; along with his son-in-laws Luke Finger and Ron Bassett, and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
