Raymond M. Perry passed away peacefully on Thursday June 27, 2024. He was 92 years old. Raymond was born March 28, 1932 in Albany, Ohio to Elias and Angie (Lightfoot) Perry. Throughout his life, Raymond would tell stories of his childhood where he enjoyed farming, spending time with his family and friends, caring for animals and tending to the land where he was raised. In January of 1953, Raymond was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Germany until he was honorably discharged in December of 1954. He was a proud Army Veteran. Later in life, Raymond retired after working 39 years with Columbus Bituminous Concrete Corporation. Raymond married Marjorie (Overman) Perry on November 16, 1956. The two were lifelong companions and friends. They were blessed with two children, Michael and Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (Overman) Perry. He is survived by his sons Michael R. (Debbie) Perry, Scott B. (Sherri) Perry; grandchildren Nathaniel (Lauren), Christopher (Kate), Ashley, and Amanda and by great grandchildren Samson, Daisy, Claire, and Miles. Raymond would often say that his family was his life's greatest blessing. Friends and family may attend visitation from 4-7 pm on Monday July 1, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 10:00 am with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery in Adelphi, Ohio. All services will be held at the Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville, Ohio. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
