Raymond "Ray" F. Schrader, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. He was born in Buffalo, New York on May 4, 1937 to Raymond and Christine Schrader.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years and retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC). He served in Vietnam and received multiple commendations throughout his service, including the Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal. Following his military career, Ray worked for and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was also an avid league bowler, enjoyed sports, and visiting with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, as well as his parents, sisters Kathleen and Rae, and brother Victor. He is survived by his children, Jackalyn Schrader, Lynette Sherrill (Al), and Patricia Roseland (Sam); grandchildren Trenton Brown (Angel), Brandon Booth (Clarissa), and Lane Booth; and six great-grandchildren.
In honor of Ray, donations can be made in lieu of flowers to or.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A private family service will be held to honor Ray's life and military service.
