Raymond Jeffrey Skowronski passed away peacefully at his Minooka, Illinois, home surrounded by family, on his 75th Birthday, June 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to proud parents Louis Skowronski and Rose (Russo) Skowronski, Raymond was a beacon of love and humor throughout his life.
After graduating from St. Rita Catholic High School in 1968, Raymond furthered his education at Roosevelt University, where he earned his degree. His educational pursuits laid the foundation for a successful career, and he retired as a respected Quality Control Manager in the manufacturing industry. Raymond's professional life was marked by diligence and a commitment to excellence, traits that earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Raymond's faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and providing comfort during the trials he faced. His love for his family was unwavering, and he was a devoted husband to his wife, Carol Skowronski (Bala). Together, they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. As a father to Ron (Wendy) Eckberg, Jeffrey (Kerrie) Skowronski, and Jennifer (Jonathan) Lewandowski, he instilled values of kindness, humor, and intelligence. The legacy of his spirit and love will live on through his grandchildren-Myranda, Mackenzie, Madison, Anthony, Chase, Hayden Ann, Sadie, and Dominic-as well as his great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Cash, and Waylon.
Raymond's siblings, the late Greg(Late Lois) Skowronski, Larry(Karen) Skowronski, and Mary(Late Mike)Pauls, shared in the richness of his life's journey, and together they created countless memories that will be treasured forever
