Raymond W. Smith, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on January 4, 2026, just two days shy of his 72nd birthday. Born on January 6, 1954, Ray was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and was a graduate of John Bartram High School, Class of 1971.

Throughout his life, Raymond dedicated himself to various professions, including operating Donnies Water Ice Truck for a number of years. He also served as a limousine driver for Pacifico and worked at the original food distribution center in South Philadelphia for Quaker City and Yeckie Produce. His commitment to his work was evident, marking him as a reliable and hardworking individual.

Raymond was not only defined by his professional endeavors but also by his passion for life. He was an ardent fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, demonstrating his loyalty and enthusiasm as a devoted supporter. Additionally, he found joy in playing golf and taking cruises with his wife, Carol, usually embarking on these adventures at least twice a year.

His family was always at the center of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Carol A. Smith (nee Nevin), and their cherished children: daughters Jennifer Bullis (Joe) and Valerie Pickel, and son Ryan Smith (Robin). He was also a devoted grandfather to his two grandsons, Marshall and Sebastian. Additionally, Raymond is survived by his sister, Linda Danby. nieces and nephews.

Raymond's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and dedication to family will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he left behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday January 7, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:45am at King Funeral Service, 209 North Newtown Street Road (Route 252), Newtown Square, PA 19073. Funeral Service at 12noon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Providence Animal Shelter, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063 would be much appreciated.
