Raymond R. Traversa, 77, of Providence, was called to our lord on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at home in Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Mary (Rosa) Traversa.
Ray was a security guard for many years before retiring, and an avid weight lifting enthusiast.
Raymond leaves his twin brother Anthony L. Traversa and his wife Cheryl, one niece Stephanie Traversa. He also leaves cousins Barbara, Arlene, Dolores, Anthony, Virginia, David, Michael, and Sally, his aunt Dot, and many second cousins.
Visitation will be held Monday Morning, July 7, 2025, from 8:15 a.m.- 9:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
