Raymond Tubbesing

Raymond Tubbesing, of Portage Des Sioux, MO, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen M. (nee Luesse) Tubbesing; cherished son of the late August and Esther (nee Koehr)Tubbesing; devoted father of Gail Ann Dreyer and the late Dean Alan Tubbesing; loving grandfather of Joshua (Jacquie) Dreyer, Jamie (Bradley) Wehmeier, and Christopher (Lisa) Dreyer; treasured great grandfather of Abbey Dreyer, Emily Dreyer, Olivia Dreyer, Hank Wehmeier, and Cora Wehmeier; dear brother of the late Russell (The Late Ilene) Tubbesing; beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Raymond was a proud Coast Guard veteran and a dedicated member of the American Legion Post. He served his community in many ways—as the volunteer fire chief, alderman, and first responder in Portage. An avid boater and fisherman, Raymond loved being on the water and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed gathering with friends at the local store in Portage as part of a morning coffee club. A hero in many ways, especially to his daughter, Raymond was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Raymond's name to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital or The Salvation Army.
