Baue Funeral Home - St. CharlesDawn Marie Boschert, of Portage des Sioux, MO, went to eternal rest with the Lord, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 65. Beloved daughter of the late Moe and Patsy Boschert, cherished sister of Denise (Bill) Knobbe and Denna Boschert; loving aunt to Jordyn (Devin) Knobbe-Matthews and Jacob Knobbe and adored great-aunt to Jackson, and Desmond; and is also survived by her beloved dog, Dolly. Dawn is preceded in death by her parents Moe and Patsy Boschert, and her dog Bella.
Dawn had a strong Catholic faith and devotion to God. She has been an active member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Portage all her life. She helped with the Church picnics and served on the parish council, doing whatever was needed to support her Church. People loved being with Dawn! She was caring, kind, a great listener, and truly cared about everyone. She loved her hometown sports teams, the Cardinals and Blues. For many years she worked at the Cardinals Winter Warm-up, went to opening days, and even to a few Spring Trainings in Jupiter, FL. Dawn herself excelled at many sports, but softball was her favorite. She played short stop from a young age into her Duchesne High School athletic career where her team won Missouri's very first girls State Championship game in 1976. Dawn continued playing and coaching into her adult life.
Family meant everything to Dawn. She spent cherished holidays, birthdays, sporting events, Friday night dinners, Sunday breakfasts and family vacations, particularly our most recent trip to Disneyworld (where Guardians of the Galaxy was her favorite ride and Mickey Mouse was her best friend). She cherished her cousin's game nights and annual cousin's weekend trips. So many of her friends were like family to Dawn. She loved her bunko groups and her Prayer Partners Small Faith Groups. Dawn was so devoted to her Prayer Partners that she served on their board for many years.
Dawn made an impact on those who crossed paths with her. She is deeply missed by all. Memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church or Wonderland Camp, Lake of the Ozarks as for many years Dawn volunteered at Wonderland Camp as a counselor.
